Quick answer. Unmute, then set Sound output to TV speakers or HDMI ARC. A bar that is off will swallow the audio.
Sound is being sent to a soundbar or Bluetooth headphones that are not actually on.
MarketPalace Guide Center writes this as a solution walkthrough — the order we would use if we were in the room with you. We name the next click, then what to do if that click fails. We do not sell the TV, the kettle, or the plane ticket.
If a menu name on your set or phone does not match, use the closest wording and email hello@marketpalace.shop. We correct live pages when the path has moved.
What you need
- TV remote
- Soundbar remote if you have a bar
In this guide
1. Unmute the TV and the bar
Look for a mute icon. Raise volume on both remotes.
2. Settings → Sound → Output
Choose TV speakers, or HDMI ARC if a bar is connected to the ARC port.
3. Power-cycle the soundbar
Unplug 20 seconds. ARC is a handshake that breaks after TV updates.
4. Set digital output to PCM if only some apps are silent
The bar may not decode the format the app is sending.
If it still fails
- Bluetooth headphones still paired to the TV steal audio.
- Optical cable half seated = picture, no sound.
When you are done, browse more in TV & Living Room or search the Guide Center for the next job on your list. A neighbour problem — a remote, a bill, a suitcase — has its own walkthrough.
