Quick answer. Join the same home network the phone uses, then test an app before you blame the router.

Apps stay offline when the TV is on the wrong Wi-Fi name, a guest network, or too far from the router.

MarketPalace Guide Center writes this as a solution walkthrough — the order we would use if we were in the room with you. We name the next click, then what to do if that click fails. We do not sell the TV, the kettle, or the plane ticket.

If a menu name on your set or phone does not match, use the closest wording and email hello@marketpalace.shop. We correct live pages when the path has moved.

What you need

  • TV remote
  • Wi-Fi password
  • Phone on the same network

1. Open Network or Wi-Fi in Settings

Samsung, LG, Sony, Hisense, TCL: Settings → Network / Connection → Wi-Fi. Wait for names to appear.

2. Pick the exact name your phone uses

Skip guest Wi-Fi. Type the password slowly on the on-screen keyboard.

3. Check that the TV received an IP

Network status should show an address, not 0.0.0.0. Open YouTube as a real test.

4. Reboot the TV, then the router if needed

Unplug the TV 20 seconds first. Only restart the router if the phone also fails in that room.

If it still fails

  • Guest networks block smart-TV apps.
  • A router VPN can break Netflix on a TV.

When you are done, browse more in TV & Living Room or search the Guide Center for the next job on your list. A neighbour problem — a remote, a bill, a suitcase — has its own walkthrough.
