Quick answer. Read the lid map, pull the fuse for that circuit with the puller, look for the broken wire, replace with the same amp colour.
A 20 A fuse in a 10 A slot is how wiring burns.
MarketPalace Guide Center writes this as a solution walkthrough — the order we would use if we were in the room with you. We name the next click, then what to do if that click fails. We do not sell the TV, the kettle, or the plane ticket.
If a menu name on your set or phone does not match, use the closest wording and email hello@marketpalace.shop. We correct live pages when the path has moved.
What you need
- The fuse puller in the box
- A spare fuse of the same amperage
In this guide
1. Engine off. Open the box under the bonnet or the dash
The map is on the lid.
2. Pull the fuse named for that accessory (cigar, radio, wiper)
Hold it to the light. A broken metal strip is blown.
3. Replace with the same number and colour
Not a bigger one 'so it holds'.
4. If the new fuse blows at once, stop
There is a short. That is a shop job.
If it still fails
- Airbags and ABS are not DIY fuse experiments if you do not know the circuit.
When you are done, browse more in Car & Commute or search the Guide Center for the next job on your list. A neighbour problem — a remote, a bill, a suitcase — has its own walkthrough.
Common questions
Where is the box?
Often under the bonnet and a second one by the driver's knees. The handbook drawing wins.
